This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions to Accountio AI, operated by Accountio AI (Private) Limited ("Accountio", "we"). It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. Cancellation
1.1 You can cancel anytime
You may cancel your Accountio AI subscription at any time. There are no cancellation fees, no minimum contract lengths, and no need to give a reason. Cancel via:
- Your account dashboard at accountio.ai/account → Billing → Cancel subscription.
- Emailing [email protected] from the email address on your account.
- Sending the message "cancel my subscription" to our WhatsApp business number; our team will confirm within one business day.
1.2 What happens when you cancel
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. You keep full access until that date.
- You will not be charged for the next billing cycle.
- Auto-renewal is disabled immediately. You can resubscribe at any time.
- Your bookkeeping data is retained for 90 days after cancellation so you can re-activate or export. After 90 days it is permanently deleted, except where retention is required by law.
1.3 Exporting your data
Before or after cancellation, you can export all your transactions, ledgers, and reports to CSV or Google Sheets at any time from your dashboard. Your hisaab-kitaab is yours — we never hold it hostage.
2. Refunds
Accountio AI operates on a no-refund, cancel-anytime basis.
All subscription fees (monthly or annual) are non-refundable. Once a billing cycle is paid for, no refunds are issued — including for partial use, unused features, accidental renewal, or cancellation mid-cycle.
2.1 Why no refunds?
Our pricing is intentionally affordable for Pakistani SMEs, and we let you cancel any time so you never have to commit to a long-term contract you regret. In exchange, we don't process refund requests for past billing periods.
2.2 Try before you commit
To help you decide before paying, we offer:
- A free trial period for new accounts (where available).
- Free demo sessions on request — email us to book one.
- Transparent pricing and feature lists at accountio.ai/pricing.
3. Exceptions
Notwithstanding Section 2, we will issue a refund in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate charge — if Safepay or our billing system charges you twice for the same period due to a technical error, we will refund the duplicate amount within 7 business days of confirmation.
- Unauthorized charge — if your card was charged without authorization (e.g. fraud), contact us immediately and we will cooperate with your bank and Safepay to investigate and refund.
- Service unavailable for an extended period — if the Service is materially unavailable for more than 7 consecutive days due to a fault on our side (excluding scheduled maintenance and third-party outages), we may issue a pro-rated credit at our discretion.
- Required by law — where applicable consumer protection law mandates a refund.
4. How to Request a Refund (for the exceptions above)
Email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge, with:
- The email address registered on your Accountio account.
- The Safepay transaction reference number (found in your receipt email).
- A brief description of the issue.
We will respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Safepay to your original payment method within 7 to 14 business days. The exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer.
5. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we resolve most issues quickly and informally. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate account suspension and a permanent ban from re-subscribing.
6. Returns
Accountio AI is a software-as-a-service product. There are no physical goods, so no return policy applies. This document covers cancellation and refunds only.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance. The version that applies to your subscription is the one in effect at the time of your most recent billing.
